Member Performance Improvement
NRHPi is a collaborative endeavor of the Nevada Rural Hospital Flexibility (Flex) Program, Nevada Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) Consortium, and the Nevada Rural Hospital Partners and its members and represents a major set of multi-year activities. It was born out of the recognized need for accurate data for evaluating performance and initiating performance improvement activities. In response to these identified needs, the core measures and tools included in NRHPi were developed. In order to provide a comprehensive and manageable location for this diverse data, NRHPi was created. NRHPi has both public and user-only sections. The public section allows others to see the high level work done in Nevada, while the user only section allows the users to actively manage their data and compare against others.
Balanced Scorecard – Through the Nevada Flex Program and in partnership with the Nevada Office of Rural Health, NRHP provides consulting services to members for strategic planning and the development of Balanced Scorecards (BSC).
Quality Data Management (CCD) – NRHP, through the SHIP program and in partnership with the LiCON Risk Manager Work Group (RMWG), has acquired an incident management reporting tool (CCD). The tool allows members to capture quality issues is an electronic format. The resulting database is used by the RMWG for quality improvement and risk management activities. The tool is used by all nine LiCON facilities and is available at no cost to all SHIP consortium members.
Flex Quality Improvement Network - A network of CAH and CAH eligible QI Coordinators and Risk Managers that develop, facilitate, and otherwise implement Flex supported QI projects through quarterly face-to-face meetings. Their current activities are synchronized with those of the RMWG.
Risk Manager Work Group (RMWG) – Organized by the Risk Managers of LiCON participating hospitals to reduce risk in hospitals, improve the quality of patient care, and support process improvement. The group meets quarterly to assess progress, identify quality issues, work on best practices, standardize policies and procedures, and to participate in educational programs. The RMWG also supports the Risk Managers in attaining CPHRM certification. The RMWG works closely with the contracted LiCON Risk Manager and benefits from programs provided by the LiCON re-insurer.
