Immunize Nevada held two award ceremony dinners in April, in northern and southern Nevada, to identify outstanding individuals and organizations that have gone above and beyond to protect Nevadans from vaccine-preventable diseases. The 13 Silver Syringe categories recognized healthcare providers and community partners, nominated by their peers, as exemplifying outstanding immunization practices in a specific category.

In addition, several NRHP member hospitals received the Healthy People 2020 award because they have met and/or surpassed goals set in place by Healthy People 2020 in the following immunization-related category: Increase the percentage of healthcare personnel who are vaccinated annually against seasonal influenza to the target of 90% or higher.
