Nevada Donor Network is a federally designated 501(c)3 not-for-profit organ procurement organization (OPO) also responsible for facilitating tissue and cornea donation statewide. Founded in 1987, our core purpose is to save and heal lives by serving more than three million people in the state of Nevada and thousands of potential transplant recipients across the country.
Our primary functions as an OPO are to coordinate, recover and allocate lifesaving organs and healing tissues for transplantation and research on behalf of our heroic donors. We provide education to hospital staff and community partners on the referral and donation process and provide a strong network of support for the courageous donor families who save lives through the gift of donation.

Northern Nevada Health System
Northern Nevada Health System is a regional multi-facility system that has excelled at offering quality care to residents of the greater Truckee Meadows. We have many locations across the region and in our rural communities. Northern Nevada Medical Center, a 124-bed acute care hospital in Sparks, is our flagship provider. A second hospital, Sierra Medical Center, opened in 2022. It is the first full-service hospital built in the region in over a century.
Barton Health
Barton Health is a non-profit, community health system situated on the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe nearly 6,200 feet above sea level. Since opening in 1963, Barton has expanded its services to serve both its residents and visitors to Lake Tahoe. Barton Health includes a community hospital and Level III Trauma Center including 63 licensed acute care beds and 48 licensed long term beds. An array of primary and specialty care services are offered to support the community’s health. Barton partners with the region’s leading orthopedic physicians at Tahoe Orthopedics and Sports Medicine to treat musculoskeletal injuries and offer sports medicine, rehabilitation and sports performance services.
Battle Born Medevac
Based in Yerington, Nevada, Battle Born Medevac 1 operates 24/7, providing critical care air transport for patients across northern Nevada and eastern California. Our helicopter is stationed on the helipad at South Lyon Medical Center, one of our valued partners. A joint partnership of Barton HealthCare System of South Lake Tahoe and Renown Health of Reno, CVH is a non-profit, state-accredited healthcare organization with a critical access hospital (23 licensed patient beds), emergency department and outpatient/inpatient surgical services on its main campus in Gardnerville. With an additional five off-site primary care clinics, an urgent care and a host of outpatient and complimentary services, CVH is more than a community hospital, they are a partner in health and wellness.

Mt. Grant General Hospital
Mt. Grant General Hospital is located in Hawthorne, Nevada–138 miles southeast of Reno, the nearest urban center. A district hospital owned by Mineral County, the hospital serves a resident population of approximately 4,500 citizens. Situated on the major southern route to Las Vegas, the hospital also serves those traveling through the state. The hospital has 11 licensed acute beds and 24 long term care beds.
