Nevada Rural Hospital Partners President, Joan Hall, is the recipient of the Nicholas J. Horn Award from the Nevada State Medical Association.
The Nevada State Medical Association recognizes a Nevadan who is not a physician for public service and contributions to the health of Nevadans.
Nicholas J. Horn died in 1992. He served medicine, and the people of Nevada as an educator, a State Senator (1983 to 1992), and as Executive Director of the Clark County Medical Society (1986 to 1992). By an action of the House of Delegates, he became the only layperson-member of the Nevada State Medical Association.
