Through a very generous grant provided by the Helmsley Charitable Trust, Nevada Rural Hospital Partners Foundation is excited to support sonography training opportunities for rural critical access hospitals in Nevada. This funding will support continuing education and certification needs of sonographers and technologists working throughout rural and frontier Nevada. Sonographers and technologists serving these communities will have the opportunity to increase their expertise and gain specific knowledge in areas that best meet their training needs, such as:

  1. Continuing education or advanced training courses in specific areas such as pediatric, breast, musculoskeletal, and obstetrics;
  2. Becoming American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certified;
  3. Completing specialized training in echocardiography and/or becoming cardiac and/or vascular certified.

This workforce training investment will improve diagnostic services offered by rural critical access hospitals in Nevada, and improve patient care. Thanks to Helmsley Charitable Trust patients will have the ability to receive even more diagnostic services in their communities. Submit a request here.
